@yasmeennaimbi13 The decoupage glue that was used is called "Mod Podge". It's really good for projects like this, and to make collages and things of that sort as well.

wow, that's great! now my girlfriend is gonna make coasters. sweet. i'll see her again in 3 years.
i'm gonna go to the dollar store and buy some coasters.
I've seen plates and bowls made using a similar process as well, but only for decorative use. I would NOT recommend making dishware for food use using this process.

Thanks for the info. One final question, what editing software did you use and do you recommend it?

I just used window's movie maker. Its pretty easy to use, but your editing options are limited. It works for small creative endeavors like this.

it didnt take very long to record at all, we had a bunch of friends asking us to make them coasters and it takes so long we figured we would show them. it doesn't take a whole magazine, just a lot of pages, i think, we lost count after awhile.
