I just got my new pump organ! well, its not new... its from like 1900 something. ::grin:: (this is mostly for my little sister Tetra, cause she's in Italy and I miss her.)
I play (crappily) "Comptine d'un autre été : L'après midi" from amelie, by Yann Tiersen. Its hard playing fast notes on this thing!!

P.s. if you'd like to hear my original harp music, go to myspace.com/Timbre

  • OH YEAH! I remember you had a bulletin post about finding a pump organ. I recently got a portable one off ebay, myself

  • haham yeah, I'm timbre. I put this up for my little sister to see while she was in italy. awesome. I really want a portable one now. that's my next project... I'd like to use one for live shows... yet another huge instrument to lug around.

  • Wow, wonderful playing from your part, especially when you consider it is a bit difficult to play these type of organs. Do you think that the camera could focus a bit closer on your beautiful feet on the pedals?

  • thank you very much. hah, beautiful feet? not quite sure what you're talking about...

I filmed this for my little sister to see while she was away in italy, so I didn't really try to make it look very nice. the camera was just propped up on my couch... ha...

    thanks for the commet

  • How much did that cost to buy that pump organ?

  • oh, I didn't notice you could reply... ha... I'm new to this whole youtube thing. But yeah, it was $300. Crazy! its worth so much more...

  • Yep, patch those bellows up ducks, you should be louder than that at 1/3 the speed.

(Don't tell anyone I said this but if you hook up a vacuum cleaner to the box under the keys you won't have to pedal any more)

  • I love the sound, except for the squeak of the pedals ... ^_^ ... but great playing... &#9829

  • I have always wanted a antique pump organ but tryin to find one that works is a major problem and finding one that one can afford is another problem,,,

  • Timbre is amazing, I go on bandcamp.com all the time, but i never would have found it if i didn't happen to be looking up pump organs. Awesome.

  • I love this. Thanks for posting. Wish I owned it.

  • @Bomberzone1745 oh pls you know deep inside im right and youre wrong. Oh also I forgot, men are always right women are always wrong, so yea I win. Now hit the treadmill

  • @Bomberzone1745 get a husband you overweight cow

  • @Bomberzone1745 god you look so ugly sitting there barefoot pedaling that organ lol take ur stupid cow ass in the kitchen and make ur husband a sandwhich.. Oh wait, what husband? what man wants to sleep with an ugly ass overweight white woman who has an organ in her room.

  • people who play organs are sad pathetic fat white folk with no lives who are weird and anti social

  • @jonnda Wait a moment... a portable foot pedal organ already exists. look up the video QPMkvcy0Dy8, "Nautilus Pump Organ - Objects of Wonder"

  • @SheIsTheLadyAmalthea the closest thing you can get to a portable one is an instrument called a harmonium, which you need to pump up with you hands now and then if you do not have a friend to help you. Other options include learning accordion... But lets not go there. Nice organ.

  • Thanks for this posting. It's good to know that there are still people out there who appreciate the reed organ. (By the way, please help to kill the wretched name, 'Pump Organ.' Reed organs come in 2 basic kinds: 1/ The American Organ (like yours) which works on suction and 2/ The Harmonium, which works on pressure. Both make the sounds using brass reeds, like a mouth-organ.)
