Holy shit just realised YTV broadcast to Kings Lynn which is pretty much in bloody Anglia, and yet they never actually broadcast to North Yorkshire. Pretty bloody strange...

The earliest Yorkshire idents I remember are the ones from 1994-6, before the '3' branding came in!

@AidanLunn Same here!

Nice history of YTV. The earliest ident I remember is the generic 1989 edition, thus all my life ive always called it ITV. I didnt even really pay attention to regional identity til I was about 10!
By which time the 1999 idents had appeared. I missed out on a lot of tv history and now have the likes of the x factor and jeremy kyle rammed down my throat...NO FUCKING THANKS!

I actually liked the "3" branding!

The Liquid Gold ident was the first I remember and therefore feel much affection for it!
How do you download stuff off TV Ark nowadays?

Umm, why are Yorkshire broadcasting to King's Lynn in Norfolk?

Because the disputed transmitter in Belmont, Lincolnshire, reached it. It was actually owned by Anglia, and so transmitted their pictures, before 1974, when the IBA gave it to YTV instead so everyone would stop bickering over it. Anglia was actually very briefly considered to be part of Trident.
