I remember seeing this advertised/reviewed in an Amiga Game Zone mag (that was short lived, though I may still have a copy or two somewhere). The game sounded pretty awesome, but I never did play it for my Amiga. I always remembered the name though.

Wow - I'd forgotten how incredibly good the music for this game was. I remember being constantly confused by the gameplay but finding it utterly compelling. Remake for the modern generation please.

The only thing to beat Hired Guns for me, was the Team17 CD32 intro to Tower Assault

Before Doom, before Quake, and before that diabolical concoction of chuggy gameplay that was Goldeneye, my friends and I aged 12-14 years deathmatched on this, back in the nineties. We used to play it all the time: on school lunch breaks, in the evenings, in the mornings...

I remember playing this when I was about 8, 9, 10 and NEVER being able to finish the thing. i could barely finish a few levels. and, it used to make me poo my pants a little when something would start making weird noises as a character got pawned out in the rain.
