If you'd like to see the flipside, why don't you put together a video for us. Choose one advertising agency and assemble a montage of 8-10 of their national television ads that depict women as incompetent, as objects of ridicule and contempt, as foolish, as weak, as neglectful parents and/or as worthless human beings.

You can find thousands of ads at adforum (dot) com. Video editing can be done with Microsoft Movie Maker, a free tool.

i'm not sure what else to base it on. to go off the number of funny females you know in particular would be a gay thing to do. i live in new york, where the funniest of the funny go to thrive. i had a friend who worked in this industry, and was witness to how little women really contribute. dozens of improv groups, sketch comedy, television shows, personal experience, etc,. had next to no cunt representation.

@coccinelsucrer i've never met a woman who's funny. i doubt you have either. if you have, you're just a pussy who laughs at her jokes because you want to get laid. of course, comedy is subjective, but the overwhelming number of people in the comedy business are men. the very craft was shaped by men. see any list of influential comedians through out history, and you will not see a woman's name. rarely is a woman cynical enough to be a comedian.

Give me the statistics you base your affirmations on, then.

The simple fact that you haven't met many funny women or that you don't find jokes as funny when they're being told by a woman than when they're told by a man does in no way enable you to conclude that "women are talentless" and "aren't funny in general" (especially since humor is an entirely subjective concept).

And yes, promoting sex-stereotypes is sexism.
