the name was taken by afrika bambaataa because he had massive respect for the original zulu nation, the zulu tribe! he was impressed by their behaviour and their way to protect theirselfs against enemies,.. he never wanted to hijack the name,.. but to carry on and work with the good things related to the name zulu.

and yes,.. i am a proud zulu - even if i am not from africa.
