i love mendelssohn's fantasy, very underrated.
for the climax in the middle, i think it would definitely help to lift your hands up and away from the piano to produce a greater, clearer, louder sound

I know this is quite belated.....I only now saw this. I found it because I've been working on the Mendelssohn myself. This performance has everything. You do justice to every note, every phrase, every nuance. Loved the Schumann too. And I don't agree that you need to "lift your hands" in any different way than you're doing.
Thanks for the performances.
BTW....I've been in some of the competitions myself but have missed you; will look for you in the future!

Thank you for your generous comments. It's encouraged me to keep working on it. I hope to hear your rendition of the Mendelssohn in the future. I think it should be played more often.
