  • One of the biggest examples I can think of that he is referring to would be the reviews for Halo 3. Halo 3 got plenty of perfect scores despite the fact that the campaign was very lackluster, and the friendly A.I. was absolutely horrendous.

  • Jaffe is right here. Although I think game sites also have advertisers from these games on their sites and I think they get scared that if they trash a game, that company will pull their advertising. Journalism doesn't have the same integrity it used it. A game gets great reviews but if you really read the consensus of the people who are actually playing it that rarely gets put into the review.

    .This debate just sounds like whining to me, Especially when the topic comes from a high end game developer. If you sell 12 million games instead of 20 million games, I don’t think it’s a total lose…
