Still trying to avoid using tutorials and coming up with my own (or viewer suggested) ideas. So far so good! :D

  • What's with the random fadeouts?

Also, funny that he's doing all of this when the first design - a simple pit - killed everything but chicken and allowed easy collection :P

  • 1) Pig Problem: Add a non-glass layer below a glass layer. All mobs float between them except for chickens.

    2) Deadzone Problem: At the bottom of the drowning thing, put signs. Under the signs, put the item collection stream.

    3) Chicken Problem (or Rate Problem): Add a layer of water suspended by signs, perhaps flowing somewhere else. All non-chicken mobs fall straight through, chickens land on the layer of water.

    4) Sheep Problem: Very difficult with this setup. I need more room to explain.

  • 1:34 Lolz. :P

  • @merkur32123 There was a solution that Coe didn't know about when he did the lava trap. Tall Mobs only swim in Lava SOURCES. If he had dug out a little and had flow in the middle, it would have even worked on chickens. I personally think that in the newer updates the lava would be more convenient, but for the older versions, this was an easy and good solution.

  • 30:19 ... @Coestar, you were obviously over-thinking the problem then ... if you dropped your collection point area ONLY by 1 block, creating a single block drop before it opened, the pigs would get stuck and drown... no pretty, but an easy fix in my mind....

  • coe-lector lol nice one coe you rock!!(:
