ROUTE 1961 presents to PBS Freedom Riders (raw footage)

coming Fall 2011, the story of the 1961 Freedom Riders character told on motorcycles. The Freedom Rides of 61 were a interracial student endeavor to challenge segregation. "Vroom Vroom, Ms. Barnette says the students at the Morgan School, K-12 exceptional needs. Follow Barnette, School Counselor and Mr. Zachariah Cashion, World Traveler from Washington, DC to New Orleans, Louisiana over 11 days and 4000 miles on a journey of character education. Metaphor and symbolism are the tools which Barnette and Cashion use throughout their journey. Barnette, African American female rides all black Harley Davidson motorcycle and Cashion, Caucasian male rides all white Ducati.
