Chris went to the MM's concert, Scott and Jamie stayed home to tend to their feminine needs. This left me to ride solo and I was just starting to show signs of the flu, so I only rode about an hour and a half. The ride is posted in 3 parts, and I only got about 25 minutes of video because my battery went dead (I forgot to charge it after riding with my son the day before).
The conditions were perfect 65-70F, high over cast, and the moist sand provide tons of traction. I only wish Chris were there so I could have let it all hang out, being by myself meant I needed to be a little cautious. The cool conditions made for dense air and the 295 was able to get sufficient air to pull hard over the entire rpm range (no gasping at high rpm). No I still have not over bored a carb for it, too many other things to do.

  • what did you use to record a GoPro or contour camera

  • it's a ContourHD. The Go Pro wouldn't last 10 minutes with the low hanging tree limbs on these trails.

  • @YoraRiderYamaRider Ok just wondering going to be getting a contourHD as well for my epic trails around my place.thanks

  • @xXsuzuki88Xx Good luck and I hope to see some of your video soon. I have a video that shows a good mounting method for the Contour, if you have low hanging branches. If your racing MX, either the Contour or the GoPro would work just fine. The new Contours have the GPS feature that tracks location and speed, which is really nice.

  • I always think I fall when curving right/left in the mud. Any tips? Nice video btw.

  • @BroekieTV Do your braking (front brake as much as possible) and down shift 1 gear before the corner . Slide up on the tank putting your weight on the front wheel, this will compress the forks and tighten the turning radius, as well as increase front end traction. Use the rear brake to slide the rear wheel into position if necessary. Keep the balls of your feet on the pegs. Lean into the corner and at the apex Gas it! Keep your weight on the tank to keep the front end down. The key is Gas It!
