TEDxSydney - Daniel Johns & Josh Wakely - My Mind's Own Melody

An insight into Josh and Daniel's collaborative process on a new film, featuring the first public performances of some of the songs written for it.

Daniel Johns is a vocalist, composer, guitarist, pianist and producer, best known as frontman of Silverchair. He's the only person to win APRA's "Songwriter of the Year" award three times.

Josh Wakely is a director, screenwriter and producer who's worked on a variety of film and television projects.

TEDxSydney 2011 took place on Saturday 28 May 2011 at CarriageWorks. Tens of thousands of people enjoyed the day: 800 in the theatre, over 1,000 via big screen simulcast in The Forum, up to 40,000 online via YouTube ... and up to 80,000 tuning in to ABC Radio National. It was a grand day.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. @infidelity89 Nice...I know everyone's entitled to their opinion, but didn't anyone ever teach you growing up if you don't like something and don't have anything nice to say about it, don't say anything at all. If you had something negative to say you could've tried using your brain and attempted (if possible) to say it in a less abrassive manner. For the record, I think he IS doing what he knows...he only gets better with every project whether it be with or without Silverchair.
