I think it is all a matter of perception. Even the GMK one. In that film it is implied that
the original 54 Godzilla was evil too. A very novel interpretation.
I just happen to find the whole "force of nature" against some other guy with not too specific goals to be not nearly as thrilling as good Godzilla taking on a real bad guy. Its like seeing Rocky fight Clubber Lang. You know that Rocky is the underdog, but he's nice & you know that Clubber is just a self centered creep.

@drbotanus The GMK Godzilla is the evillest. The Hesei and the Godzilla 2000 is neither good nor evil while the Showa is the good guy.

Actuly, there used to be an Idea for a Godzilla vs. Godzilla, about a ghost of the origanal Godzilla from 1954 called Ghost Godzilla, but Droped in faver of Godzilla vs. Destroyah.

this is not real,you know that,but flobbob123456 the first godzilla is destructive and evil,the second was good cause it killed Mecha-godzilla.but there both the second version of the fanchise 1956-1995,real easy to find it out.

The idea of Showa G fighting a modern one is pretty interesting. Keep working on it.
Since Showa G is clearly a good guy; does the other have to be evil? Has there ever been a truly evil Godzilla?
The GMK one perhaps?
Something to think about.

its exactly the same thing. Kiryu has Godzilla's bones, mind, soul and DNA.
Question: How did they extract the spinal cells from a rotting skeleton. It had no spinal-cord.
You could also argue that the GMK Godzilla grew from the heart of the first one, like Frankenstein.
