In 1989, I started paragliding in Hakuba (Japan) at the ITV Parapente School, one the very first school of paragliding in Japan, where most of the flyers were mountain climbers. I took my first lesson on the 3rd of may 1989, got my pilot licence six months later in february 1990 and retired on the 12th of august 2000. During those years, I flew around Hakuba, Izu, Hakone, Asagiri, Shikoku, Swiss and France. My wings were ITV Asterion and Advance Sygma. As a member of the Hi-Wing Club, I was known as Hage-Washi (Bald Eagle in Japanese.)
