  • It's such a crime when things like this happen! Instead of spending all that money on demolishing our own history in the name of a limited view of economy, at least just bury the thing - properly. Then, at least, we can build on top of it and preserve it. Besides, from what I know of Florida, they could use the altitude as well.

  • I guess the house of the future is invisible!

  • @cr8rface harder for people to break in and steal all your shit. actually a great idea

  • Are there any blueprints left? :(

  • those must be tires of the future

  • Florida's Xanadu, located in Kissimmee on Hwy 192, was actually one of three -- the other two were in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Florida was the last to close :(

  • My grandparents owned Kings Motel a few doors over and i use to mow the lawn for Xanadu! memories lol

  • This must depress you after awhile - Seeing how quickly we let history fade into memories - - - Some of these places I've seen - Some not. Maybe the old sayiing has some merit - You can't go home again. Thanks for the vids though. They're great. (If you ever get to NH - Go to Hudson and check out where Benson's Wild Animal Farm use to be.) If you ever go that way let me know - seanmbryans1157@aol.com

  • This makes me so sad. I remember seeing Xanadu when we drove by as a kid, I always wanted to see it. Little did I know, it was closed down. And soon after, demolished. It's such a shame that such an interesting and historical place was torn down...
