One of West Africa's popular and favorite starches.
Ingredients for 1-2 servings:
2.5 cups of Water (decrease for stiffer dough)
1 cup of Gari (purchase from www.shebafoods.com)

Instructions:
1. Boil the water in a small pot
2. Slowly stir in the 1 cup of gari
3. Once all the water is absorbed, scoop half of pots contents into a plastic wrap.
4. Shape into a ball.
5. Unwrap and serve with Sheba Stew or other African Stew which can be purchased on www.shebafoods.com. Enjoy!

  • nvm, I see you were probably meaning to reply to xzyaarael.

  • Why do you assume I don't know what cassava is? You can buy it in the US at stores and I did. I know it's not the same or as good as fresh homemade, but why try and knock me for trying something new?

  • how can u make it right if u dont even know wat is she or he's putting in pot???????omg!

  • the easiest way to make 'eba' is to put the dried gari in a bowl, then pour on boiling water , stir and then mold. Nobody makes 'eba' like this back home, it's not the traditional way of making it at all!!

  • I tried making this for the first time and I see how important it is to pour it in from so far away now. I got lots of lumps.
