I agree that there has been way too much coverage about the death of Michael Jackson. I will be very glad when the memorial is done and over with. Maybe then they'll back off a bit.

As for him being a pedophile, the child who was allegedly molested by MJ came out and said that he'd been put up to do so by his father, who was hoping to make a quick buck off MJ. While I agree that MJ had some major quirks, I do not believe that he was a child molester.

Thank you Congressman King, I totally agree with you. I feel the glorification of the entertainment world is out of control in this country. MJ needed to be institutionalized along with the rest of his family. It is a shame that there are children involved in all this. Thank you.

i absolutely agree. it is so stupid that people are mourning him now and before they all hated him because of the child molestation accusations. and the fact that people are dying every single day for our country and mj was accused by all of us of being a pedophile.

I totally agree with Pete King; Michael Jackson did not make a difference in anyone's lives, did not touch one soul, and did not make one worthy contribution to humanity or the world. Mr. King is right, we should be honoring people who help cancer patients and work with children from rough neighborhoods, because Michael Jackson did neither.

It's about time a politician from NY spoke some sense! When you comment about MJ not being convicted remember OJ was found innocent too!! The world has lost both a musical talent and predatory pedophile. He will not be missed!

I'm white and I couldn't agree with Pete King more. We have lived in an overly politically correct society for far too long. This is a good platform to say a few politically incorrect things related to the topic of MJ. First, Pete King is a dying breed of white morons. Thanks for speaking out congressmn! MJ was never found guilty of any wrong doing with kids but, he was a whacko. the 2nd coming of whackos like Elvis Presley, whom he idolized. May all of these media whores be gone forever someday
