Congressman Pete King feels that we should be honoring the good men and women of our country who have dedicated their lives to helping others and serving our country not Michael Jackson. For more information on this visit my website at http://www.peteking.com

Many people have misinterpreted what Pete King has said and think that hes being racist. Pete King is not being racist at all. After all, the 4th of July should be a time we honor America and those who sacrifice themselves to keep this country in place yet everyone only focuses on Michael Jackson, which is disgraceful. As the son of one of Pete king's cousins, I know that King is a very nice guy with a terrific family. He is a very nice man once you get to know him

I totally agree with Pete King; Michael Jackson did not make a difference in anyone's lives, did not touch one soul, and did not make one worthy contribution to humanity or the world. Mr. King is right, we should be honoring people who help cancer patients and work with children from rough neighborhoods, because Michael Jackson did neither.

It's about time a politician from NY spoke some sense! When you comment about MJ not being convicted remember OJ was found innocent too!! The world has lost both a musical talent and predatory pedophile. He will not be missed!

I'm white and I couldn't agree with Pete King more. We have lived in an overly politically correct society for far too long. This is a good platform to say a few politically incorrect things related to the topic of MJ. First, Pete King is a dying breed of white morons. Thanks for speaking out congressmn! MJ was never found guilty of any wrong doing with kids but, he was a whacko. the 2nd coming of whackos like Elvis Presley, whom he idolized. May all of these media whores be gone forever someday

I understand anyone's frustration over MJ's HUGE publicity. He overshadowed every other death (and there were several) over the last two weeks. My roommate and I joke everytime we turn on the news will it be MJ and it almost always has been.
