Today it means Christian Egyptian, but originally, to the Greeks, Romans and Arabs, it just meant the people of Egypt, regardless of race or skin color. Such ideas as race as we understand it didn't exist. People identified based on shared geography and culture. Therefore, no matter what color they were, they identified as Egyptians only. If they were light, they didn't identify with light foreigner, nor with dark foreigners.

And I know you will do the same. May your days be filled with light!

Your right. Words are spells, meaning they are very powerful and can cause a negative or positive effect. Continue to spread positivity. At first I was frustrated by the negative comments and I wanted to respond but then I saw your comment and it was a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

The good news is that we are also our owen salvation. I don't see how anyone with a history of oppression can watch this video and not identify with the challenges these people are facing. Its up to all of us to see our common humanity. we can all start the ball rolling. You have no idea the impact that your positive words and actions have in the world.

I agree with you 110 % hopefully people get it sooner than later.

Fellow You Tubers:
The Egyptians are light skinned Africans. The Arabs conquered and breeded with their woman. This is similar to British coming to United States(American Indians native) or Portugese to Brazil(American Indians native). The Egyptians may have some Black African genes, but the majority gene is North African, like Qaddafi. The Arab genes are not majority. Please observe photos, most Egyptians are light-skinned Africans.

what is a copt ??????????
fashionprincess94 3 years ago
most people would say a Copt is a 'native egyptian' and say that they're all christian and orthodox christian, for that matter. but some believe that the ancient copts were either black (meaning not the people in egypt today) or all muslims today, etc. so it's a term of some contention, but most would agree it means 'christian egyptians'. thanks for asking :)
