Magneto bit me when I tried to kill it.

The Governor goes full throttle when it starts up, but the little flip plate can be used to block the governor arm and maintain idle.

carburettor is a Zenith 24T-2
Mag is WICO Type1

  • its not dripping with oil, its just WD40 equivalent, wiped down thoroughly to keep the rust at bay.

I clean my engines regularly with a rag so dirt isn't A prob

  • nice but the oil is gonna make lots of dirt stick to it :\

  • yeah I've removed all the dirt and taken loose rust off,

coated with light oil after it looks great

  • so you're going to at least clean it up to make it look better than?

  • nah, its worth more with the factory paint thats left on it. its about 80% factory paint so its way better than repainting.

Only reason I fully repaint and polish an old engine is when most of the factory finish is gone.

  • Well that's better than no shrouding.

do you plan on giving it a fresh coat of paint to make it look nice?

  • yeah its 100% complete barring the air cleaner. I just have a little MX pod filter on it for now.

  • does it have any shrouding?

  • Over-revving any engine puts un-due stress on all moving parts, especially the piston and con rod.

I always make sure not to over rev any engine, old or new

  • what would of happend if it had gone to fast?
