@blackNirishhunee When they say pregnant woman should 'gain weight' they don't necessarily mean in fat. When a baby is developing, it grows and many things develop to help take care of the baby, which means that she should gain weight. If she is not gaining that much weight, it may mean that the baby isn't developing properly.

Not to be off topic or anything, but I'm starting to wonder if pregnant women really NEED to gain weight. We all know that if you gain weight, it messes up your hormones, and you're rarely the same after birth. I wonder if dr.'s do this on purpose to make women sick in the future???

if she couldnt turn the key in the ignition, why even try to drive???

That is a good question to ask Oren1shii. I myself also have polymyositis, but currently I am in remission. It is still very possible to drive under most circumstances depending on how severe the muscle damage. I had a terrible time with grip strength but general driving was not a problem. Turning the ignition requires that same grip strength. I could do it but it required some effort.
