  • Let me guess another video from Gustav you should know who the winner is. e39 m5 with exhaust beat an 997s, common people that so silly. Please all m5board video make me laugh. FAKE! FAKE!

  • That is what happend.

  • And this particular m5 must be even faster than the new M3 (V8). In another video of yours an carrera 997 convertible has beaten the m3. And the convertible 997 is surely not quicker than the coupe...

  • Its about even with a M3 E92.

Different drivers and owners of the Porsches + different model year. Both where 997 S however.

  • vad är det för årsmodell på m5:an?

  • 2003.

  • @golf1diesel i didn't know citroen had pdk ;-)

  • hahaha BMW ///M POWER

  • @vitran1977 Depends on which 997 S it was. If it was a 2008 we are talking about then it would only have 355 BHP which shouldn't be able to beat this modified E39 because I would get it's pushing 450+ in the HP range. The new 2009 + 997 C2S has more power at 385bhp which should give it a bit of a run for it's money. You can see that it's a 2009+ C2S based on the LED's in the front. The newer ones have a brand new engine.

  • 385 hp in the carrera s and closer to 500 in the m5?

  • A Volvo could be a beast if modified. What's your point?

  • I'll be in Dublin from the summer when I take the car in from the UK. I've had it since January but have to keep it outside Ireland for 6 months to avoid VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax), which even applies on used vehicles. For higher end cars like this it's a 35% levy, not 20%. The official figure for bringing this car into Ireland within 6 months of purchasing it is a staggering Euro 42,000. Screw that, a taxation not approved by European courts since it is against free trade within Europe.

  • Yes it will make about 25bhp, basically take it upto around 375/380 bhp. Where abouts are you in Ireland? My Irish Office is in Dublin. 997's are really expensive in Ireland with your 20% tax. Anyway if you need help with your car, let me know and i will point you in the right direction.

  • Thanks, I'm in Ireland. I don't want to change the exhausts, I like the standard 'S' ones. But if I get it flashed and cold air will I see much improvement?
