http://www.nucleusinc.com/medical-animation This 3D medical animation shows a diagnostic pelvic laparoscopy examination to view the health of the ovary, oviduct (fallopian tube), and other organs of the reproductive system. After the laparoscope is inserted through the abdominal trocar, we see an internal view of the female pelvic organs and tissues. ANCE00179

  • Thanks for this video. I'm due to undergo laparoscopy in a month or two, and I really didn't know what exactly it entailed. Very informative, and now, my mind's relatively at rest. Still freaking out slightly, cuz it's my first surgery. Ever. :S

  • @IsabelAradia Thank you very much for your comments, and good luck on your surgery!

  • I just had my 3rd laparoscopy. This one turned was to remove endo and turned into a prteey major surgery because I was pretty bad inside. So my healing time at home has been extended but I sill only have a few tiny holes in my belly. I hardly notice them anymore. For those of you with upcoming procedures booked, happy healing!

  • I am an O.R. Nurse and just had my first laparoscopy (as well as my first surgery ever!). I was scared but understood the surgery. This video provided a great overview of the procedure, and was pretty darn accurate. Thanks for making this video, and for the other viewers responses. I am 4 days post op and am feeling better, but not 100% yet. Best wishes for those of you scheduled to have this done.

  • @MissMaddy881 Welllll...I had trouble waking up, then my blood pressure dropped and I almost went into shock; I wasn't even awake long enough to talk to my doctor. Endo does tend to come back after surgery though, and sometimes even if they don't see anything, it's there cuz it's microscopic. D best treatment is surgery+hormones. Surgery to remove; hormones to prevent it coming back.

  • @IsabelAradia ok. my doctor told me the results after i had awakened from the anesthesia. i'm hurting again and the main thing i want to know is why i'm feeling pain on the left side when there's no endo there. keep me posted!

  • @MissMaddy881 I had my surgery on Wednesday...I don't know the results of it just yet, but it went relatively well. In a month's time, I would find out the results, and if I would need to do further laparoscopy to remove anything.

  • @redrose86219 poor you I am sorry ...get well soon xxxxxxxxxxxxGod Bless

  • I had laparascopic surgery few months ago and now watching this video i can see that they did me things they didnt have to... Starting with catheter, they put me catheter wjhile i was awake! And they didnt want to take it of till next day although i asked them to remove me that... and a lot of things like that..Nurses and the stuff was rude, angry..awfull..

  • ... not looking forward to this. Not at all.

  • @IsabelAradia oh ok. well, i hope everything goes ok. i had mine done last monday and i'm doing great. my doctor found endometriosis on the right side, but didn't find anything on the left so he went in and cauterized that side just in case.

  • @MissMaddy881 It's been pushed back a bit cuz of the hormone treatment I had to take to get thru my exams. It's supposed to be in early July now.

  • @gabriellarodrigu1000 if you do, it'll be ok. imagine what it would be like if you DIDN'T get anesthesia before surgery.

  • @IsabelAradia how did it go?
