Mozart's "La clemenza di Tito" at Salzburg Opera Festival, 2003.
Publio, captain of praetorian guards, comes to arrest Sesto for the attempt at killing the emperor. Sesto obeys and tells Vitellia that even now he still loves her. Vitellia feels guilty and weeps in despair and repentance, Publio is touched by her tears, but nothing can sway his loyalty to the law.
Here the director obviously had some unusual ideas about how this scene should look but both singing and acting are superb. I highly recommend this DVD to every Mozart fan.

Does anyone have clips of Dorothea's Donna Elvira? I can hear her perfection for the role in her voice, but I've never heard or seen her in it!

i agree! it sounds and looks better on dvd. get it from your local library i would suggest and burn it on your hd. it's mesmerising from beginning till end...
