Nightly protest, Tehran

For the first time in our neighborhood, people are using megaphones to chant their protest against election results.

People are more furious tonight probably due to the news of the tragic death of another young man (19 year old Sohrab Aarabi).

Thank you to the photographer and person who posted. It is so wonderful hear the night chants again. Could anyone please translate what the last chant was the one a little before that. I know Allaho Akbar and Marq bar Dictator, but the last chant sounded different. And thank you again to the photographer for providing the paper for accurate dating. Be safe and strong.

Turns out that was not a mega-phone but a regular stereo and a mic. In other districts people are using mega-phones though.

I'm sorry for what the leaders of my country did to your country. But as you are undoubtably seeing, not all the people in a country are happy with what their leaders do. It seems harsh to wish death to an entire nation, I certainly do not wish it of Iran. I'd just really like your leaders to stop killing you guys over there. I do not want unrest anywhere.

they are saying; "death to dictator" as well as " the god is great". for people who are criticizing these people for using religious rhetoric. regime can not penalize people for saying Allah o Akbar the God is great( they are Islamic regime at the end of the day), but people still show their displease with the situation. so its safe but effective. i praise the iranian people for the bravery.
