this is bad. give me the original any day.

It's funny how many people try to discount Madonnas influence. I can guarantee you that half the artists you admire grew up listening to her music. She was an original and pushed boundaries that had never been pushed before. She gets mad respect.
-
@EVNYC Yes she does. She owns the song, regardless of who wrote it.
-
@rudeboyjohn No you cant. To record and release a song you have to have the artists permission.
-
@terinsol I think you underestimate her influence. This album was indeed an actual tribute to Madonna, not some joke.
-
@lagozzino1 I agree with you, but I think you can cover any song at free will regardless of consent...BUT the royalties MUST be paid NO matter what...I could be wrong though...anyway KMFDM fuckin rocks and madonna's a cunt
-
This is pretty crappy. Their U2 cover is better.
-
...wow
-
@xdux this was made in the late 90's, before lucia joined the band
-
lucia shouldve sang this and it shouldve been way better. this is god awful.

@combi101 Why would this make her mad? This was officially released on a tribute CD, meaning they had to pay her and her record company for the rights to cover the song and Madonna receives royalties for every copy of this song that is sold. And if she honestly took offense to it, she could have simply not given KMFDM the rights to release the song and sued their asses if they did.
So if KMFDM was honestly trying to piss her off with this, they had to pay her to allow them to do so.

its amusing how many people don't realize the "tribute to madonna" was sarcastic and in response to some disparaging comments she made about kmfdm and the industrial music scene,
