@hoodzipper because it wasn't illuminated by any lights, and even if the wall was illuminated a little bit by the computer light, it was stationary. my hand was in motion so there wasn't enough time to "render" it into the picture

Believe it or not other people did this back in the days of film cameras, good for you that you discovered it in your car but you were not the first

How about aperture? How much aperture does it need?

@ojmit32 Just test and find out - it doesn't cost anything to take digital photos - Start out at ISO 100 at F11 and then from there open and close the aperture depending on if you want the image brighter or darker. F4 if you want it brighter... f16 if you want it darker.... etc
