what awful tone at the beginning. just destroying the blues.. he's a heavy metal guitarist pretending to play the blues there.. i don't get why guys like that shit distortion. guitar rig can do a great job of creating classic blues tones. the closest i've seen from a digital station. but i guess he decided to not use that...

i'm a beginner but i use my POD Farm quite often since it works with Guitar Rig. must say it's alot better than the default POD Farm software!

I have found times where I actually have to turn down the distortion with GR. I've been using it now for a few weeks, and I'm so glad that I went with GR instead of another amp of some kind. I have much more flexibility, much less costs, and I get the same results. I play everything from very heavy metal to melodic instrumental stuff, and I use GR for both the guitar and bass tracks. My only complaint is that I went with Session instead of Kontrol, I'd really like to have that foot rig now.

wish ni would give some more info about the gear used... like preamp / interface / cables.

also, why not release these in HD as well... with better audio.

Guitar rig is as good as an ok amp. Distortion is the hardest thing to emulate. computers like linearity and I cant imagine the nature of electrons in a guitar amps parts to have any linearity. so far no amp sim yet has emulated the magic of nature. I'd say 90% there at best. guitar rig for the win though if price is your argument!
