I understand that there is a coalition of doctors and other professionals AGAINST the sewage treatment. in Victoria as they're too cheap to want their taxes to go up. Imagine that - doctors and other highly paid pros being too frugal in wanting to deal with this problem. Boggles the mind .

As of May 2008, with the release of the Integrated Resource Management Phase 1 Study Report, experts agree that waste treatment needs boosted in Vic. And for all you who think this will cost us, sewage is a valuable resource and raw sewage contains 10 times more energy than it takes to treat it. according to the pessimistic view detailed on the report, these plants would pay then selves off in the first year. and produce massive profits annually. Don't take my word for it, read the report!!!!!!!

Hello adyblain - Did Victoria ever get a sewage treatment plant, or are the people there still shitting in the ocean?

I got tired of waiting for the government to stop the dumping, so I moved back to Ontario.
Victoria is a sad place in so many ways, too much car theft, no employment opportunitys, street people, and poverty. Even the ferry fares are robbery. A bunch of creeps like Conrad Black run the city, so the conditions there will never improve for the average person. Young people should move out of Victoria and find a more prosperous life.

Conrad Black, now what did he get in trouble for years ago? I just can't remember but I'm sure it was something illegal.

Hello pathdaly - There are many big headed Conrad Black types in Victoria. These Oak Bay rich people control the Chinese mayor, which is why there is always space to build another golf course, but there is no land available for the construction of subsidized housing, or even an outdoor olympic size pool for children. Conrad Black's new name is prison is "Connie", and a big black man named Bubba has full rights to his ass.

Victorian government is not only polluting their sh1t-town their polluting the entire western seaboard including the fair city of Seattle! Victoria eats sh1t!  Who in their right mind would go there on vacation or for any other reason!
