'Somebody Loves You'
Bob & Alf Pearson. Duettists at the piano.
1932.

A song always associated with Bob and Alf and a record which was one of their big sellers of 1932, before the days of their signature tune 'We bring you melody from out of the sky, my brother and I'!!.
The tone of the piano is so strong and powerful on this Imperial that the Radiogram seemed to vibrate on various keys!.
Easily as good as (if not better than?) their American counterparts Layton and Johnstone. Bob and Alf Pearson deserved to be Top Of The Bill. How great to know Alf is still with us, a living link with the 'hits of the thirties'. Enjoy.

  • Happy Birthday Alf Pearson - 100 today !!

  • I first heard Bob & Alf sing this song on "Jack Payne's Party". They sing it so well, it really is a credit to them. It deserves more acclaim.
