I know. It just breaks my heart. This is the most bitter sweet song I can think of, given the situation.

I saw a documentary on Lucy which mentioned this episode. During the rehearsal for this song Lucy cried at Edie's warm, emotional rendition.

It's a classic! Classics tend to do that. Everytime i watch them its like the first time n i get just as much a kick out of it as i did the very first time i watched it. i can say ive seen every episode and love them all! sometimes i find myself listening to the show and saying the lines with her lol (sad i know lol) but there is one episode i cant seem to find and it the 1 where they dress up as aliens on top the empire state bulding, cant find that episode anywhere. anyways thx again4 this clp

I cant believe divorce papers were filed the next day. They are1 of those couples you just never think they'd separate. i love "i love lucy" and LDCH! my grandmother and i used to watch this show every tuesday(or any time really whenever or wherever it played lol) on nick at night when they'd play 11 or 14 epds 1after the other. she came from cuba in 1980 and has been watching it ever since not because she understood it lol just cause it looked funny. she calls everytim its on we still luv it

It really did appear on the last episode of the I Love Lucy Show because it was filmed in that house where they were filming for all the other shows also in the Connecticut house and Ethel and Fred were there next door neighbors and helpers on the house. You could see a little bit of anger in Lucy's face here as Edie gets ready to sing, it reminded her of Dezi and the divorce .i am psychic. We all thought we would never see this last show again ,thanks to dvds ,its here .
