I just read a 2006 Telegraph article about his dad's death that said he was 13 yrs-old here. His b'day is July so it would have been before July '57.
Quote: And yet it was through sport, at the age of 13, that Mick made his first television appearance with his father. The two of them were featured rock climbing in Tunbridge Wells on BBC TV's Seeing Sport. (They also demonstrated putting up a tent and cooking a meal over a campfire.)

I've got a feeling this recording came from 'TV Heaven' on Channel 4 (UK) in 1992 - a series of retrospective evenings which featured both complete programmes and (as in this case) clips.
