Step by step instructions and video examples of how to get your motorcycle started and running after sinking it in deep water. The bike in this video is a 2002 KTM 250 EXC. The engine (cylinder) was completely full of water when we start the recovery. This method has never let us down in our almost monthly bike drownings! - After getting your bike running be sure to let it run normally for at least 30 mins or so to ensure all water is cleared out of the crank area. If you are unable to get the bike started - it is imperative you pull the top end and clear out any traces of water in the crank areas, bearings, power valves, etc.. If you let a wet engine sit for even a few days it will cause substantial damage.
Would this process be the same for a 4-stroke?
