That introduction seemed a little snarky to me--guess overweening hosts were considered "cool" back in the 60s. But no denying the talent. 5 stars.

Yes indeed. So much better than this new young person's "pop" music (gear, fab, daddy-o) As for those "Beatles" well they'll be forgotten by 1967. Any chance of editing that man's comments out as they don't deserve to be remembered. Great clip though.

The man was brilliant. Brazil is a breeding ground for great music. Try to find a clip of his playing Kenton's Artistry in Rhythm. It is as amazing as this piece. Let's hear it for Milt Jackson - no slouch there. As far as formal training and even reading music is concerned, Errol Garner allegedly was self taught and couldn't read - didn't seem to hurt him any.

Your right. You can do whatever you want with the guitar.

But that doesn't make you a real musician, or at least a good musician.

There's a difference between being creative and abstract and using "creativity" as an excuse to just not understand music.

Musical scales are like laws of Physics. You can manipulate them anyway you please, but if you break them, it will sound like a mess.

Using tabs is not being a musician.

One of the best comments I've seen on youtube.

For those of you who gave me a thumbs down, keep in mind that music is simply different tones, melodies, and harmonies that are manipulated to evoke feeling and emotion in the human mind.

The best organization of this great phenomenon is what we call...music theory, Now if you think you can figure out everything that has been collected and organized for thousands of years and put it together in your own special understanding, please share. Otherwise, just shut up and accept your not special.

Totally agreed. Wouldn't say it otherwise myself.

Great piece of music but the commentator is a pompous ass.
