McDonald's took a bath on that scratch-and-win contest. I loved when the Simpsons later parodied it with Krusty Burger.

Bush's speech here reminds me of alien-Clinton's speech on the Simpsons. "Forwards, not backwards! Upwards, not forwards! And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!"

Diet Coke commercial is everything a commercial should be...and more! Very cute and funny.

All Hail Demi Moore...

David Alan Grier is in the Isuzu commercial.

That's Frankie Faison as the first man in the Olympic commemorative coin commercial.

I agree.
I'm of neither parties or idealogies, I just find him more low-profile than the his three successors who played too much the part of "nation's therapist and shepherd" for my taste.

George Herbert Bush heh heh.if only we knew then what we know now.
I agree with you on Bush. personally, I'd have preferred him over Clinton (though not Perot) four years later.
Funny though him talkiing about not allowing the US to be weak again. But before him was Reagan, is he implying Reagan made AMerica weak?

@Vebinz I'm not a republican, but I really just don't think the first Bush really did enough in office to really make me form a negative opinion. When leading a week-long invasion of another country and throwing up on the Japanese PM are the most memorable moments of your Presidency...you're A-OK in my book.
I assume he was talking about Carter.

So I'm guessing Canon couldn't afford Tony Randall and had to settle for a cheap knock-off to serve as Klugman's counterpart.

That had to be a depressing meeting in Canon's advertising department when they announced they could only afford one member of TV's Odd Couple. Dreams shattered and hopes crushed.
