The material is 6061-T6 aluminium. I'm using alcohol to lubricate the tool.

  • Awesome

  • @reesk92 CNC just goes through a set of moves that has been told to perform, it does not "know" where the material is, and it doesn't really care, it just goes through the motions (G00 fast travel to X 10, Y 20, Z5 then G01 feed to X15, Y10 etc, etc).

Its up to the operator to "tell" the machine where the material is on the table.

To answer your question : Position of the material is included in the program

  • Outstanding, look at that thing go...

  • i dont wanna sound dumb but how does the cnc know where the material is on the bed do you have to indlude the material location in the design instructions or does the machine probe to find the material im asking cause it looks like the material is in a odd location eg not at 0x0

  • sweet i enjoyed cnc in school.

  • once again spectacular
