  • thanks! but one thing...

shouldnt you keep your legs (knees) close to each other at the forwardstep (from IRAS position), to prvent nut-kicks?

    cheers

  • what's an IRAS position?

  • Internal-Rotated-Adduction-Stance.

    you can google it.

    cheers

  • haven't discussed this yet with Sifu Hawkins, but to avoid confusion, i have changed the title and placed it into the "Ring Fighting" section of the tutorial.

  • @paladrian no, but two s’s in 'necessary' is.

  • @psilocyberspaceman i really wish you hadn't pointed that out man, that's fucked it for me.

  • chinaboxer, you say 'okay' or 'right' after each god damn sentence. It is crazy to listen to.

  • lol... are Converse All Star necesary for Wing Chun training?

  • ok thanks.

  • only leung ting systems call it an IRAS and the reasoning behind it being good for blocking nut kicks is exaggerated. A good traditional wide horse stance can still block nut kicks if the practictioner is switched on and knows how to use that stance to their afvantage.
