What you don't show are all of the historic buildings that get destroyed each time one of these monstrosities is built.

@patthecattwice I so agree....BHP has no style, it will really degrade the view from Kings Park, obscurring the more interesting Central Park...Perths skyline has always looked so 'balanced'....all that will be gone now......

capital square is completely dead.
the altus site is getting a 10 storey resi block, nothing worth excitement like the real altus was.
bishops see no.2 has no plans in the pipe atm at all. but will obviously be filled in the future, however distant or short it may be.

thanks for your vid mate.. I'm definately an advocate of (sensible) development in this city. BHP tower will certainly be interesting. We can do with another skyscraper (to add to the other 2!). Not convinced on it's design though. Projections look like it will almost completely obscure central park building from sth perth view.. looks like a big, fat behemoth built to economise on space.. compromising on style. Just hoping it looks right in real life when it's done.

I work downtown and it has been great seeing all the cranes in the skyline, I hope that we get some 300mtr plus scrappers soon
