Aurora mini

18 RGB-LEDs driven by a PIC micro controller. The color of each LED is controlled in 256 levels (gamma corrected).
The circuit is streamlined to only use 6 transistors in addition to the microprocessor, yet each of 18 LEDs are individually controlled. Each LED actually has 3 (RGB) LEDs in it, so the total # of LEDs in the circuit is actually 54.

I only have 3 built, so it's hard to let go.

However I'm thinking of revised version to make it open hardware, and make the PCB available for hobby builders.

If you can solder PCBs, you might want to wait for that.

I await with baited breath for your PCB and instructions...Seriously There has got to be some real use for this thing...You might consider patenting the design if nothing else it makes for a wonderful display or even a lamp or a colorful ring around a wall clock, I myself would love to create a dozen uses for it.
