Thanks, so much to the labor unions in Canada and the States for all they have done for people. Without them, there would be no such thing as benefits or labor laws. Exploitation of the working force would be even worse than it is today.

Unions are the reason that many American maufactures out source to China. Now I can not get an electronics assembly jobs, due to China. There are enough laws that protect the worker as there is no need for Unions. I am willing to settle for decent pay, but unions demand more than they are worth and do not produce as much as China. So sad that I had lost my job to out sourcing, as maybe a union would had protected my job. But I am not that greedy!

not because of unions because of greed-now the 3rd world countries are suffering the "company town" syndrome of women being burned to death trapped in a locked sweatshop (India) it will go full circle until workers of the whole world unite

Pulppeeler, Manufacturing is gone from this country BECAUSE OF UNIONS!!!

@Hogbeast6 No the Largest single reason the big three declined is that they didn't care what there product was, and that the unions didn't make decisions, that the boards of these companies did. so who's fault is it, the idiots these companies hired to run them straight into the ground just as people voted for the Republicans and Democrats are doing to this country, remember "GREED IS GOOD".

@IWLocal8 @IWLocal8 The buyer decides the value of the purchase; even when its labor that's being bought. If the price of the labor is higher than the value to the purchaser, then the labor won't be bought. I have been a member of a union, Teamsters to be specific, and it sucked. As far as a retractable-roof stadium; Kellogg, Brown and Root built the Minute Maid Park in Houston; although some tradesmen may have been subcontracted , KBR is not unionized.

@Hogbeast6 "Closer to the value"?LOL Who decides what it's worth? Doesn't it make sense for the Union to sit down with management and BOTH decide what the job's worth? Please name ONE nonunion contractor capable of building a retractable roof stadium. You haven't belonged to a Union, have you?
i strongly disagree that the unions killed detroit. it takes two side to bargain and i didnt hear anyone crying at the concessions the labor unions made. with people to chickenshit to organize and fight...FIGHT for their jobs and their livlihoods....this country is going to shit. were looking at recession and china is panicked over a 3 percent drop in gdp..from 12 percent to 9 percent growth....why 9 percent growth? they have all our manufacturing base. we will never survive in a service economy

The "unionfacts" channel is removing anyone's comments who opposes their videos...very anti-union and very misleading....
