I did this and my crystals were very watery. i left it over night, and i checked it the next morning, and the salt had all reformed, and dropped to the bottom, it felt like sand. what should i do?

We did this in chem but the complicated way reacting aluminum and all that, but only small crystals grew, I guess you have to add the chemicals at the right temperature or something to get large crystals to grow. In all the crystal experiments in chemistry ive done I can only get small crap for crystals to grow for some reason, sucks.
