@6Legs2Fitness I have looked at a lot of these studies as well. They basically come to the conclusion that you can reach results fast and without punishment using treat training combined with +R. I am finding more and more however that these tests are never under distraction. I want to try +R with my dog and see how it goes but to me not having food on me when I want performance is going to be a major problem. If I fade out treats why would a dog work for something he used to get and now doesn't

@BriMooMoo I am currently researching all the different dog training methods I can before training my new pup. I am not promoting anything just giving my observations. tab 289 has done some amazing things but none of his videos are done under distraction. And he always has his clicker or treats on him also. Don uses corrective punishment and then love and affection with playtime. I don't think either way is "wrong" but my thinking is, I would correct my children for wrong doing, why not my pet?

why do men feel they need to control a animal your suppose to train them with love not to create and maintain a state of extreme fear and distress that is exactly what Don and Cesar are all about they could care less about the animal! all they want is to fill dominant because there bitches they feel strong when they make their dogs feel scared tab289 does care and his dog is PERFECT! :)

when training police dogs they use a tennis ball as their reward for a good job plus praise. Seems to work very well with them - having worked closely with police dogs I know they are very well trained and behaved. I've been training my dogs with treats and one now feels she is the "pack leader." I did not have the expertise to train them with a tennis ball so I used the method I paid 12 hundred bucks to teach them and they do what they want anyway.
