Bravo - beautifully played and filmed. Is that your Steinway?

Just lovely and a sweet performance by Dr. Johnson. You are a sensitive and gifted pianist. Thank you for posting. May I humbly say, the "dislike" on this post should be ignored as a jealous, poor sport! I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this excellent video.

Wonderful! Chopin is a favorite of mine, and Wayne....you perform and interpret it VERY well. Kudos to Wes on the video work! Not easy to make someone playing a "non-showy" slower piece interesting, but your camera work, editing, and the use of black & white/sepia takes it to the level of ART.

Wayne this is breathtaking, and the videography is nothing short of spectacular. Your grasp of the essence of Chopin and his divine Nocturne is flawless -- it would appear you were not "with us" as you were playing but rather at the throne of God, worshiping without words -- what a wonderful way to pray. Thanks to you and your son Wes for sharing this beautiful moment with us!
To pondwatcher: Thanks for the comment! Yes, that is my Steinway. It's a model "B" rosewood "Tiffany" art-case design, and is signed on the plate by Henry Z. Steinway. It's a very special instrument, and his spirit lives inside!

Thanks to everyone for all your kind comments. Often the simplest pieces like this Chopin nocturne are the ones that go straight to the heart and touch us the most deeply.
