The New Testament is the law today because of the world today. The Old Testament was the law and beginnings of God's newly created world, yesterday. Why couldn't you have a tattoo in the old testament? Because that was how you worshiped pagan gods and that completely separated you from god since Christ didn't exist. Why are you getting a tattoo today? I'm getting mine to remind myself to take up the cross daily and follow he saved my life for all eternity. And i couldn't be happier!
Ask yourselves, is this man exhorting to righteouness and Christ-like submission to the Father's will? When did God ever move a man to get a tattoo? This guy is up here making jokes and explaining how you can follow the world... Sorry case.
This joker is trying to tell you all why its okay to follow the trends and fads of the world. Only a person who loves the things of the world is going to buy into this dung...
I see many of you are offended at the idea that a Christian should not get a tatoo. Think about this: Should a Christian, someone totally sold out to Christ really being asking the question of "how close to the line of worldliness can I come?" or should we be asking this "how much more do I need to die to myself to be Christ-like?"
@moseseseseses Clothing covers our bodies, which is supposed to be a temple. Women wearing makeup covers their natural bodies. Pantyhose cover women's God given legs. So if your going to be anti-tattoo, you have to be anti-clothing, and anti-makeup. Be consistent.
If you believe that it is proper for God fearing christians to mark up their bodies, (which are suppose to be temples of the HOLY GHOST), and use their bodies as a chalk board or drawing board with ink, then you are very deceived. It was God's will that His children do not as the heathen do, and as far as the plants and food and such, types and shadows were being established, and God was stressing a life of separation from those that were not of their faith.
@greenmountainchapel I agree that the argument is very mocking. However, how do you know that when someone wants a tattoo they are desiring to get power from it? that makes no sense. Biblically, tattoos and pirecings are prohibited as forms of remembering the dead. Ritualistic practices. However, in modern society there are people that get tattoos as a form of art. I don't believe we a right to ridicule those that do make such choices.
we have christian members that have them, but they tell folks not to get them, amen for the humble attitude. whats done is done, some may laser zap them off if they decide later.
Fuk you and Fuk your phony bologna GOD!
