She is incredible! I've seen many snipets of her performing this role but unfortunately I'm unconvinced that she's Giselle. It's a shame since her technical prowess is PERFECT for this role, but the overall seems lacking something.

@MlleOdilette Thank you. I agree with you about the bashing that goes on here. Most annoying. What so many people who watch Y'tbe don't understand is there is a huge interpretative leeway among talented dancers. Osipova isn't burnt out yet, but I honestly think she needs to take her career just a little more slowly than she does at present and allow her self, and her interpretations, to mature. It is often said that dancers have short careers, but that is very often self-induced.

@Buondelmonte123 sorry, I wasn't referring to you but to the people on youtube who bash popular dancers other than their favorites for no reason. I'll repeat my last question: why do you think she's a "burnt-out talent with no second act"? I'm just asking for clarification, I would like to know your opinion.

@MlleOdilette What makes you think I hate her? Nothing I've written here is anything other than constructive, objective concern. If you think that is 'hate' then the problem lies with you, not me. I'm always overjoyed to see young talent. Always. But if you have seen the same amount of tragic, burnt-out, talent that has 'no second act' that I have, you'd be worrying too. Please do not ascribe to me words like 'hate' when I am merely expressing a genuine concern.

@MlleOdilette You watch, wait five years from now and see where she is then. I think she'll be another Nadezhda Pavlova, very lovely, very exciting, very very promising and then..? On goes the weight, and it's a fabulous future behind her, thank you very much. Her move to the Mikhailovsky is the beginning of the end. Sadly.
