An exercise in Logic and it's limits. The song is 'The Place Where the Nuts Hunt the Squirrels' by Napoleon XIV.

  • Well, I can't prove I'm not in an asylum somewhere with schizophrenia as my delusion is too complete to refute; but if I am, I want a better delusion, damnit. This one is boring.

  • @DragonGate1992

The only subjective evidence I have that I am not

is that I think that I am not sick and twisted enough

to come up with some of the things that happen.

    :)

  • I just realized this song is set to the same tune / rhythm as "They're Coming To Take Me Away."

  • @FantasyAdventuress

This song is by the same person and is actually a sequel.

It is after he is taken away to the asylum.

There are actually two more songs

'I'm Glad They Took You Away' (By Josephine)

'They're Coming to Get Me Again'

  • I think therefore I am.

  • @WatashiwaCheese

    I am therefore I think.

  • It is logical for me to assume that I am not in an assylum because there is no evidence to suggest that I am.

  • Shouldn't I first try to prove I exist?

  • @PeterThenn Well, you should know that schizophrenia and it's delusions are completely uncontrollable and can be quite malicious at that.

  • Here's my piece:

There is no way to objectively prove that I'm not, but the burden of proof is upon the person who claims that all the observable evidence to the contrary is wrong.Logically speaking it's therefore impossible to prove or disprove.

  • True, nervous very very dreadfully nervous I had been and am, but why would you say I'm mad?- Edgar Allan Poe, The Tell Tale Heart.

Now that is one perplexing story.

  • My logic is that first you must prove you exist to prove you are not in an asylum somewhere
