On Saturday 18th December 2010, the snow caused chaos at LGW and LHR and Glasgow benefited from a good few diverts. These were still at GLA on Sunday and going nowhere fast!

  • I see you on the mound!

That day was mental. We left straight after the Emirates and by the time we got to the Loganair hanger where the car was (illegally) parked, we were like snowmen!

  • Good video!! where did you get the shot at 4.00??

liked the ending, with the emirates 777 just disappearing into the mist. excellent

  • @gazzaboyhmfc

That's the Loganair hanger, you can park your car there (illegally), just watch out for the grumpy employee who spends all his time smoking at the side door and WILL CHIN you for parking there!

Not sure how to take such a ridiculous comment! Virgin put a 747 through GLA every weekend of the summer flying out to Orlando Florida.

  • Dave tht is the most rediculous thing yu cn comment on. Maybe FSopen believe tht bt us tht actually live here know which airport tht is !.

  • I TAKE IT FROM ALL THE COMMENTS HERE AIMED AT @DAVEWAVE57 THAT HE ASSUMES THAT GLASGOW AIPROT IS A HIILABILLY TWO BIT AIRPORT ??? IS HE FOR REAL ????AND IS HE SOOOO WRONG .

  • Lovely video ,

  • Love the cream egg colours in your opening txt :).....

Great video, aye that wee guy at the Loganair hanger is a bit of fa**y

  • @davewave57 there was a british airways 747 there last night

  • Will you be at Prestwick today with all of the BA diverts?

  • @davewave57 not sure if serious.........

  • 3 Airports in Scotland can take 747's they are Edinburgh , Glasgow and Prestwick.

  • @jwramsay16 @davewave57 he's totally right, i've been on that very flight!

  • @davewave57 I'm a controller with NATS and have visited Glasgow ATC on numerous occasions and I can assure you they can take 747's, and do so on a regular basis during the summer. The TODA of runway 23 is 3090m and the max LDA is 2661 on Runway 05, more than enough for a 747-400. The runway could handle an A380 on the odd occasion as well. The problem with that is there are no stands big enough and the strength of the taxiways couldn't cope.
