Bach's beautiful and serene aria, Schafe können sicher weiden, for soprano, two recorders and continuo accompanied by a montage of paintings featuring the recorder and other early music instruments. Performed on original instruments by San Francisco Early Music Ensemble Voices of Music. Featuring Susanne Rydén, soprano; Hanneke van Proosdij and Louise Carslake, recorders; William Skeen, viola da Gamba; Rodney Gehrke, baroque chamber organ.

  • @steviesteps

I will never forget the fist time I looked at the original score, I said, this can't be right, there are only two recorders and continuo, where is the rest? But it is the orginal scoring.
