Check out http://www.minijunkie.com for more of my work. In this video I review a couple of really cool basing products - grass tufts produced by Army Painter and Games Workshop (Citadel). Please rate/subscribe/leave a comment - thanks!
"Warhammer 40,000" Painting Wargames Wargaming Review "Warhammer 40k" 40k Fantasy Basing "Army Painter" Tufts Citadel
Fantastic review, need to pick some of these up for Flames of War, looks like I'll be going with Army Painter.

Army Painter tufts are re-branded MiniNatur / Silflor tufts: exactly the same product. Except that Army Painter Tufts cost twice as much as MiniNatur.

I've never used the gw turf. Only the army painter and I'm totaly happy with it. Strong glue when apply and very good result after! I believe that gw even if it is the biggest company in miniature games, when it comes to modeling supply it is an infant comparing to other companies. They have to try realy hard to get the quality needed. The fact of their deathstar name won't help them in this case!

If you can get them buy tufts from a brand called "MiniNatur" (it's German). They look a lot like the army painter ones but the tufts are a lot smaller and I never had a problem with a "carpet" of grass on the sheets. Thanks for the review, looks like GW missed another chance :/

Thanks a lot for this review, I was contemplating getting the GW tufts after being so excited they finally made some themselves but they really dont meet upto the competition this time, shame. Hopefully they'll tinker the recipe and eventually get them right, till them, I'll stick with Army Painter.

to me the glue on the gw tufts look to me like from a hot glue gun. you could confirm that if you tutch the back of it with a hot needl and it melts.

That's so weird... ealier I was looking through the different youtube miniature videomakers and found you. I watched a few vids and then subscribed. I was then going to go to order some paints and basing stuff but got stuck on choosing between tuft brands. I made a youtube search for "miniature tuft review" and founf nothing really. I then gave up and was going to go to bed after I had a quick look at my subscriptions and voila! -this video was at the top. What are the odds? :-p Thanks alot! :)
