The Dramatics originalmente formada em 1962 com o nome The Dynamics. Em 1967 mudaram o nome, quando ganharam o seu primeiro hit single, "All Because of You". No entanto, em 1971 seu single "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" entrou no Top 10 da Billboard Hot 100. Seus membros, neste momento foram Ron Banks, William "Gee Wee" Howard (que morreu de um ataque cardíaco em 22 de fevereiro de 2000, 49 anos), Elbert Wilkins (que morreu de um ataque cardíaco em 13 de dezembro de 1992, aos 45 anos) , Willie Ford, Larry Demps e tecladista James Mack Brown (que morreu em 28 de novembro de 2008 aos 58 anos). I remember the very last time I saw in concert. It was in December 1997 they were doing a show at the Legends Nite Club In Maryland. they sounded great.

I saw them perform this live and they were so filled with joy and big smiles when the intro started. They knew we'd love hearing it as much as they enjoyed performing the song. I miss those times.
